One way to make the hand holds is this.

Set up your table saw with a stacked dado head cutter.
Set the depth of the cutter to about 3/8 inch (about half way)
Set the rip fence so the distance from the center of the dado to the fence is have the width or length of the board.
Place a stop block on your rip fence so the board will be just where you decide it is comfortable for picking up the box, (couple inches form the top).

Now the fun part. Turn on the saw, set the bottom of the board against the stop block. CAREFULLY, lower the board onto the dado making sure your fingers stay clear. Do this CAREFULLY as the board can take flight if it isn't held securely.

Works great, works fast, and this step can be set up right after cutting the rabbits since I use the dado set for that operation anyway.

Thanks for the good stuff Robo. Hoped this little tid bit helped someone out there. Keep up the good work!

Robo - Are you using a moulding head on the TS to cut the hand holds? I also like your jig for your table saw. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge with the rest of us. Thanks you.
